Hi, thanks for replying what's the best program to check CPU temps?

Don't bother, just go into the BIOS and you should know fairly quickly. If it's idling above 50C there's usually something wrong after all

If you need something, most motherboards come with such software, and there's always speedfan

Hi, I watched a YouTube video on how to apply thermal paste I did the pea method could I take off the heatsink and see if It's too thick or would I need to reapply again I've never done anything like this before.

Any time you remove the heatsink you must reapply the thermal paste. Make sure to clean the old paste off using an alcohol solution, and don't reapply until the solution is completely evaporated!

Hi, again thank you for helping me I have checked my temps in BIOS.

Current System Temperature 34c
Current CPU Temperature 45c
FAN Speed 2472 RPM

in bios? that don't help much, need to load the temps when you are using it.

Hi, I have checked using HW Monitor and AMD OverDrive I just don't know what to do maybe I need a new CPU?

I'm sorry I have just run Prime95 here are my temps I'm not sure if that's high or not maybe It's because I have a cheap PSU but I've never had the problem before.

Thank You.

Good news is that everything seems fine on the hardware side, no overheating/throttling. That means that you likely have something on the software side causing it. First thing to do is disable all unnecessary software (your dock, performance monitor, etc) and run a full AV scan.

Hi, I have just completed a full system scan with Avast and Malwarebytes both programs found no viruses I'm pretty sure It's something to do with hardware the problem has only come after I got all the dust out of my PC I can't see how that could have caused the computer to go slow.

More likely than not the cleaning isn't really relevant, just coincidental. At least that's what you need to confirm one way or the other.

Hi, I have just tested the CPU with aida64 I don't understand what everything means could you please take a look for me to see if everything is fine I did the stress CPU and FPU I only let the program run for 4 minutes should I let it run for longer but I'm scared if something happens.
