Computer slow after moving

So i recently moved and when i plugged the computer back in it was terribly slow. I treated it with care during the transport and it shouldnt have received any physical damage (I will research this closer tomorrow tho, just to make sure) I'm fairly crappy when it comes to diagnosing computerissues, all i checked was that the ram was still intact and that the taskmanager arent giving me any red lights in regards of CPU, disk etc.

I'm not getting any distinct freezes(as in the entire computer freezes) just applications acting superslow and when i start them up its taking forever and the default state during startup is "not responding" in taskmanager. I'm not sure if this is even remotely related.. but the apartment i moved into is from about year 5.. so i guess its possible(?) im not receiving enough power.. yes? no?.. but from what i could tell from a quick googlesearch is that i should expect more distinctive symptoms.. computer crashes, BSOD.
This feels more like the Filipino gentleman powering my computer is wading in waistdeep mud.

Check your temps. If your cooling got knocked off, the system could be throttling down to prevent over-heating. Unlikely, but easy to check.

Also, install something like CPU-Z and see what the actual clock speed of the CPU is and the rated clock speed. Another good way to check for throttling.

One more obscure possibility - minor damage to a disk drive slowing down access. It's more likely that it would kill the drive altogether, but check your SMART status.

Thank you! I didn't suspect the CPU to be the culprit as it was running on a low percentage. Checked the temp and it was insanely high. So i opened up the computer once again and noticed the fan was partially knocked off its position.. put it back in place and its now running just fine again! thank you!
