I recently got a new gpu and a new stick of ram combine with my old ram.(both 2400mhz). The problem is sometimes pc boots just fine but other times, it doesn’t boot, it freezes in a black screen with a dash sign on top left and if i leave it like that for sometime, Boot screen(mobo logo) will show up but it will get freezed again. But if i instantly restart that time, computer boots just fine. I tried swapping ram sticks or tried with one or two to find none of the ram stick faulty. Thanks in advance

A little more information is required.

What are your full system specs?

Are the RAM modules the same brand etc

Full spec:
Core i3 10100f
Biostar h510m
Asus tuf gtx 1660 super
Ram modules are different brand(corsaie, geil) but the shop said it would be fun as long as its running on the same bus speed.
Side note: both rams are running on 2133 mhz, i tried turning on xmp profile in bios but it wont turn on for 2, only working for one.

Mixing RAM modules from different vendors is very hit and miss and sometimes might work but often causes issues. XMP is unlikely to work as despite being the same speed the timings are likely different and it is pulling different information from each stick. People can struggle to get the same non matched pair of the same ram to work so this is a bit naughty of the shop you bought it from. Stability can be a problem and could be the cause of your issues.

I would try clearing your cmos with only 1 stick of ram and see if the same problem happens as the first test
