Computer stalls at startup(windows7 loadin logo/screen) then restarts

My computer specs:

Asus p5n-t motherboard
Intel Core 2 quad q9450
Corsar dominator 4gb 1066mhz ram ( 4X1GB )
Corsair 500w PSU
160GB SEAGATE BARRACUDA HDD
HP w1907 19" Monitor


I installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit on the hard drive with a different computer. But when I connect it to this, it freezes and stalls at the windows 7 loading/logo screen, and restarts. Please can someone help because i dont know what the problem. It is frusrating because i cannot use the computer!


Note: I installed the OS with a different computer because It won't let me install with my new one. and when I connect it to my new one, the problem occurs.

Installing on a different machine is not the way to go. Go back a step and describe exactly what happens if you try to install Windows 7 directly on this machine with a clean hard disk.

7 ...HAS to be installed on the machine its going on...NOT another as the hardware is totally different...

I tried booting my W7 OS using my HDD in another computer, exact same thing happened to me. That's where your problems are.

hey i managed to figure out the problem. it stalls on my new computer because it has totally different hardware. I need to use "Sysprep" to solve it. It erases all the drivers and settings so it can be freshly used with the new hardware.

I live in new zealand, and i bought everything second hand. It was a bargain because the total cost was only 300 dollars for everything. It was used for only a year beforehand. now i have everything setup andworking
