Question Computer Start Up Speed

I keep my computer up to date and clean daily, yet my stat up speed seems to be slow and varies. Is it important?

not a lot you can do to change that, its the time it takes BIOS to hand over control to windows. Settings like fast boot in bios might help.

How full are storage devices? Have you looked at the number of things Windows needs to start (applications), as Colif pointed out?

Are you booting from an SSD or HDD?

There are a TON of factors, is it resuming from Sleep, or a cold boot? Is there an update running? (If you autostart stuff like Discord it will update itself before it can run),

The first start up or stat up of the day. The computer runs fine after that procedure.

It's a WD Black HHD , 2 TB with 874 MB used. Most of my games are on the D drive.

It's from a Cold Boot, after it starts it's fast. I was just curious. It may be the new version of Glary Pro that was just updated. Before that the start up was reasonable.

A FULL list of ALL parts in this system. Make model of everything.
What software is in your StartUp. Things that start automatically.
What has changed recently? Is this a new condition?
What is the BIOS boot time? (find this in Task Manager)

2 minutes? If you have any hdd, try unplugging from boot and see if make any difference
Try unplugging any extra USB as it could be anything slowing you down

Well, it turns out that the new Glary Pro 6 update, now state my start up is 42 sec ??? Go figure.
