Hello, i've had this problem for quite a while and it's got me scratching my head.

After restarting my computer for updates several weeks ago. It now no longer shows any video output when i start the system. All fans are running although no picture.

What I have Tried:
Successfully tried my gpu on another system (Works)
Tried another cpu on the motherboard (Still no signal)
Reset bios and taken out battery
Reseated all cables and ram

So my question is: Why is my computer doing this?

My Setup:
FX-8150
M5A97 R2.0
Ripjaws 8GB DDR3 Ram
EVGA 80+ Bronze 500w Power Supply
GTX 660ti

Solution

- I'm guessing you also tried the other PCIe slot? There is a blue and black one.
- Also you can reset the BIOS with this mobo fairly easily (even when there is no video signal), which would be worth doing (i.e. reset everything to default).
- Reflashing the BIOS with the latest firmware would also be worth a shot (again you can do that with this mobo even if there is no signal by holding down a key with a USB stick with the BIOS file on it).
- You definitely should try and borrow...

ah yes i also forgot i mention that i used two different power supplies (this one and a thermaltake 600w psu) and yes, correct

- You definitely should try and borrow another GPU, preferably a very different make and model, and see if it does the same in this mobo.

If all of that fails the most likely issue is a faulty motherboard.
