Hello,
I am having some issues with my computer randomly restarting intermittently and at random times. I could be going hours using the computer or 5 minutes and it will shut down almost like its going to restart but then it will not post and my monitors will go into Power Saving Mode even though the computer is completely on. Right before the restart my computer will stutter then go to a black screen, no BSOD message or any warning. I've tried multiple different options as to what might be causing it. I recently installed a new mobo and cpu when this began so that is my first assumption to the issue.
My specs:
Rosewill 650W PSU
EVGA 1080 TI GPU
Ryzen 5 2600x
GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-DS3H (AMD Ryzen AM4/ B350/ 4x DDR4/ HDMI/ M.2/ SATA/ USB 3.1
G. Skills 8GB x 2 DDR4 RAM
M.2 SSD 1 TB (Where OS is)
I tried reseating everything to see if things were not seated properly and that did not resolve the issue. I was not sure if it was a bad mobo or cpu as I am able to get into the computer just fine (just depends) as I am now. I checked my event viewer to see if it was a software issue and I am reviewing a ton of warnings but I never use event viewer so I do not know what they mean or how to resolve them. Also this issue can happen while in the BIOS too so thats a big reason for me to believe it may be hardware and not software
The only error I am receiving that makes me think it is affecting the "restarts" is:
volmgr
Event ID 161
since all the others seem to occur AFTER the restart. If anyone has any suggestions or needs additional info to help that would be fantastic as this has been ongoing for a few days now.
