Hello everyone,

Specs:
Motherboard: Intel Board DQ77MK
RAM: 22gb Crucial and another brand at 1333 Mhz
CPU: Intel i5 3550

Long story short, my computer stopped working and whenever I try to start it up it beeps 3 times, stops for about 2-3 seconds then repeats the same 3 beeps then shuts down, turns on and repeats the whole cycle.

Yesterday, I was messing around trying to overclock my ram to 1600 Mhz so I could plug in some faster RAM. Managed to do that on my first try and swapped my 1333 Mhz RAM for 1600 Mhz RAM. I tried only one stick (which worked) before I proceeded to add all my 1600 speed RAM which would make the computer beep like mentioned above. To get back into BIOS I had to take out the CMOS and wait a little while before putting it back in and starting up with the old RAM which would work.

I kept on messing around with the oc settings which was difficult and I think I ruined my PC! It's new which is the problem. Now whenever I power it on I get the 3 beeps, pause then 3 beeps, shutdown, turn on, 3 beeps... No matter how long I take out the CMOS battery (I've also used new CMOS batteries just in case), how many sticks of RAM I use (I always check to see if they are seated properly ect) my computer will do that stupid beep thing! Can someone please help me to get my computer at least POST!

I have like 20 RAM sticks all of which give me the same results, whether they be 1333 Mhz or 1600 Mhz. Why is this happening, I've taken out the CMOS and tried 1 stick of RAM!

Solution
OMG - then maybe it's the motherboard that's gone bad.. coz OC was not performed on CPU.. so, it's a possibility that the RAM ports on the mobo fried out or something..

Accidentally clicked solution, no I wasn't. I was using a 8600 GTS until this started happening. I'm 100% sure it's not the graphics cards fault but I took it out just in case and the problem persists with or without it.

Monitors just display no signal. I don't take out the power cable. Just turn off the psu.

Worked out anything? 🙁

I've tried 20 mate. All of them don't work? Is it possible that 20 ram sticks (about 14 of which are brand new) and 6 of which I have previously used all of a sudden break?

Maybe...
