I threw all my Alienware x51 parts into a new case, and upgraded the video card. Since the daughter board isn't in the new build, i keep getting a message saying "alert. Power sensory falure" every time I boot up the computer. I can press f11 to get past it, but is there any way to just make it go away for good? Also, how can I make the computer know it's not an Alienware x51, and preform like a normal version of windows? Thanks!

I believe he is referring to the "Alienware version" of windows that was configured in factory. He should do a full reinstall to fix that.

For the power sensory failure you might be able to go into the bios and look at an energy monitoring part and disable it.If there probably to be found under "advanced".Maybe under "AC Recovery"...?

Don't fully understand the Alienware->"normal" Windows thing? I assume it's windows anyway?

By full reinstall do you mean completely wiping windows off, and then loading back on through a bootable drive, or do you mean just resettimg it to factory settings?. Thanks

look at the chapter "Restore your Dell computer using Windows Push Button Reset".

This is not a Dell factory image reset, this process will install the basic Windows 10 operating system on your computer without any Dell factory-installed apps.
Make sure that you have a back-up of everything you want to keep.
