I have a friend who has a PC that is stuck in an automatic repair loop in Windows 8.1. Before this happened, I told him to run chkdsk /f within the OS, and then reboot. He did and now he is in this loop. Also before he rebooted, windows was using 98% of the cpu with no applications open, and the memory was being reported wrong. He has 8 GB of memory, and it was reporting 12 GB of memory. I am thinking it might be a memory problem. Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: I already tried booting to the disk, and repairing, but it would say repairing and then keep rebooting itself. Also tried safe mode, but that woudn't work either.
