Basically, I was in a Skype call when my computer crashed. It then said it was repairing disk errors for a few minutes, then it went into automatic repair. The strange thing about this was that there was no stop code. I don't remember the exact words, but it just said something along the lines of failure in place of the stop code.
I've attempted to reset my PC with personal files intact, but it always fails. Like hell I'm completely formatting it unless I have no other choice.
I've tried restarting, restoring an earlier version of Windows, and it always fails, returning to the repair screen.
I have tons of gaming-related data on this computer, like saves for games that don't have Steam Cloud, and I really don't want to lose all that. Please help!
EDIT: Holy shit, I can't even reformat it. Whenever I try reformatting the C drive, with or without personal files, it always says there was a problem resetting your PC.
Specs:
AMD FX-8120
EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (installed less than a week ago)
8GB of RAM
A 256gb SSD and approximately 500 gb HDD
I don't recall the motherboard name, but it's an MSI.
