Question Computer stuck on blue screen with a new CPU ?

Ive build a pc with h81m-vg4 with 12 gb ram ,(8 gb +4gb) with intel pentium G3260 and rx 570 4gb , ive used the pc for 1 week then decided to upgrade the cpu to an i3-4170

At first computer boots nicely , second day i turn it on playing some games the computer suddenly shuts down and on again , then shows blue screen ,, i restarted few times still the same. I put the old G3260 CPU back and the computer boots normally so I continued to use it like that.

After a few days i then tried the i3-4170 again. The computer worked,
but after restarting it the computer is stuck on blue screen again?

Wat may be the problem ??

Motherboard: asrock H81m-vg4
12 gb ram (8+4)
Cpu:i3 4170
Gpu: rx 570 4gb
PSU: gigabyte 500 watt
Bios : came with 1,20/30 then updated to 1,60

Might want to elaborate on this setup.

Pw: gigabyte 500 watt
Gigabyte is the brand of the unit while 500W is the advertised wattage of the unit. What is the model for the unit and it's age?

Motherboard: asrock H81m-vg4

Bios : came with 1,20/30 then updated to 1,60

That BIOS version is not listed on the support site,. I'd flash the BIOS to 1.7 with the prior CPU and then clear the CMOS, replace the battery after 30 mins and then drop the i3 in.

The CPU is quite old, and even though its extremely rare to see CPUs die from old age on the consumer market, you cannot verify the life that it lived prior to getting to you.

For now though, you can start with updating your BIOS, since it may be that your board doesn't support your CPU with its current BIOS.

That one you mentioned doesn't show when i flash the bios using a usb n 1.7 is not on the bios list

I have updated to the latest bios version , i will try getting a new cpu n see
