Hey, I'm new here and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post it.

So I am having multiple problems with my computer, to bluescreen, to sluggish loading times that were not present before, to low fps in games. It's not even that old of a computer, I've had it for a year and 3 months, Warranty is expired.

I run an ASUS ROG strix laptop -

GTX 1060
Core i7 6700 HQ processor
16GB RAM
1TB
Windows 10 Home

So I was using it the other day just fine, I hooked the computer to a tv via HDMI cord and also an xbox one controller. I was playing GTA V for 3 hours straight, running at 60fps and afterwards I decided to watch some youtube, not long after like 30 minutes or so I go back to GTA V and noticed dip in frames while playing online, I brushed it off thinking it was just the optimisaton.
And then it crashed to bluescreen displaying the stop code :

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
Code: a
Parameter 1: 3
Parameter 2: ff
Parameter 3: 0
Parameter 4: fffff800304b4f9a

Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
OS Version: 10.0.17134.2.0.0.768.101
Locale ID: 3081

Which stopcode is : IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I have never had an issue with overheating, and since it was winter, the temperature was running at around 75 degrees which isn't too bad for a laptop and it has always been like that/ But that's not the problem here, after blue screening, I quickly pulled out the HDMI cord and the xbox controller as the computer rebooted, When i went to launch Fortnite, the computer bluescreened again, now with a whole new different stop code (I used Reliability Report) :

PAGED FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA

Problem signature
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
Code: 50
Parameter 1: fffff8009d52e4a0
Parameter 2: 10

After rebooting, I just sat there thinking, What happened?

I went to plug in my controller to try Enter the Gungeon, after a splitsecond, the computer would bluescreen, yet showing another new stop error :

DRIVER_PAGE_FAULT_BEYOND_END_OF_ALLOCATION
Followed by Xboxgip.sys

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

Now anytime I try to press the launch button on Fortnite, the computer would crash displaying the same stop codes.
The 0x0000000a bluescreen only happened once on random.
But the other 2 triggers crashes computer when I launch Fortnite (0x00000050) and plugging in the xbox one controller (0x000000D6). I feel like they have something to do with driver or hardware issues or conflicts. I have followed many forums, unistalled the xbox controller driver, all the main drivers are all up to date, including the GTX 1060, CPU, Disk Drives, Universal serial bus controllers... they all say one thing "The best drivers for your device are already installed." I have ran the command "DXDIAG" and had a look at the hardware, everything looks perfectly fine. I even ran command prompt and typed in the ‘sfc /scannow’ and ‘chkdsk /f /r’ , Event log and ran windows defender antivirus, came up with nothing, also checked for hardware changes and even went to troubleshooting. Nothing.

The games I tried playing afterwards, were Fallout 4, GTA V and even small games like L4D 2, Stardew vallley, Undertale, Terraria and Enter the Gungeon that my computer would have no trouble running.

(fps would dip down to 40fps, it would keep going up down up down up down. Lowering graphics didn't help.)

Another thing I noticed, was the sound, it sounded like it was stuttering when I opened the games. Checked the Realtek Driver, no problem, already up to date.

One known speculation that I remember, was that the last time it was working perfectly fine was when I was playing GTA V while the computer was hooked to the tv via HDMI, I'm not really sure if its an issue but what I think was maybe the HDMI affected it in a way where it thought it was in the same resolution, because when i exited Fallout 4 via windows key and hop back in, the resolution would become bigger. When opening Terraria was a little slow too, and the resolution popped big and small again.

Another Speculation is, that 2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4340917) messed up my drivers or rendered them imcompatible because I had updated it too at some point. I tried to unistall the update but it reinstalled itself after reboot.

Could I plug the HDMI cord back in and see if the computer registers the screen as 60fps again? did the HDMI cord strip the computer of 20 fps? can that happen? Because desktop GPU's can have the same problem, like when you plug the HDMI in the motherboard instead of the GPU. Except in my case this is a laptop not a desktop.

Windows 10 has always bombarded me with small updates. Is Windows 10 just broken? I was just thinking of wiping the whole computer clean, but what if it doesn't work? I just don't want to jump to conclusions. I'm just so stressed, I'm sorry.

TLDR : Games fps are dipping in mostly every game I play along with stuttering sound, drivers are up to date, launching Fortnite and plugging in controller triggers the certain Bluescreens.
Didn't change anything on computer apart from Cumulative update, Tried unistalling update but reinstalled itself again and errors still persist. Scanned for viruses, nope. only plugged in HDMI cord to project screen on tv and plugged in xbox one controller.

P.s : I do have the charger plugged in for max performance.

If I missed something, please ask me anything and I will reply asap, very much appreciated for all your answers, thankyou. :)

I realize that's a gaming laptop, but playing a game like GTA V for 3 hours seems like asking for trouble. It might not have overheated, as in hit a high peak temperature. But maybe it ran warm for too long and that triggered a fault.

I'd run Windows disk tools to check for errors and repair them if any. Also maybe try Windows repair before you do a fresh install.

Asus probably has an imaging ISO or other method to restore the computer to factory settings. I'd probably try that if available.

Thankyou for the quick reply, That is possible. I will see if that will do the trick, also is Windows disk tool a download from a website or already pre installed on windows 10?

I can't seem to find both of these software's by using the search bar.
