So I've been having a problem with downloads. My download speed would slowly drop to zero, and my computer would freeze for 20 to 30 seconds, then resume as normal. Since it didn't do much, I didn't bother looking for a fix. Recently, though, instead of freezing, it will sometimes crash when downloading a large file.

It's got 8GB RAM, an FX6300 processor, and an R9 280 graphics card. I suppose it could be my USB WiFi adapter, as apparently the specific model I have does not have Win10 drivers. I haven't ever even touched page file settings. I have a 1TB HDD which is only half full.

Nope, the nearest place for me to hook up to is already taken by another computer and is 30 feet away. Will check that link out though.

Okay, checked the link. The internet does not go down in the house, only my computer has a problem.

It's a TP-LINK WN822N V3. The TP-LINK site only has a Win10 driver for the V4 model, and none of the earlier ones. The driver comes with an installer and no instructions for a manual installation, and if I try installing the V4 drivers it comes up with an error stating that I do not have the device connected, as I do not have a V4 but a V3.
