So just replaced a bad rampage v extreme mobo. Installed it and booted up fine. Turned it of and went to turn it back on a couple hours later and when I did it turned off a second or two after having turned it on. Kinda paused and thought that was kinda weird so I went to turn it on again and it kinda hesitated but came on. I was waiting for the audible beep but I never heard it. So I was looking over the mobo for any signs what might be the problem and I noticed that where the switch on the top right of the mobo has the 4 pcie lanes the LEDs wasn't on. So I turned it of and turned it back on and same thing no beep and no LEDs.

I've tried everything I can think of that might fix it but still nothing I've taken it out of the case and set it on the desk with no ram or video card in it so it is just the mobo cpu and cooler. Same thing no beep and no LEDs. Took out the cpu and turned on just the mobo and I get the LEDs for the pcie lanes to come on and sense there is no cpu in I have a red led indicating no cpu.

Specs are as follows:

Mobo: asus rampage v extreme

Ram: g skill ripjaws 2400 (4x8) 32gb

Video card: Evga GeForce gtx 760

Cpu: Intel i7 5820k

Psu: apevia atx-ib 680w

Cooler: corsair h100i

The i7 I have didn't come with a stock cooler

And just in case the previous poster's implication isn't clear, that doesn't mean RMAing the PSU, it means getting a reputable one. You essentially bought a Ferrari and then used tires you found at the dump.

Yes, just wanted to make sure you didn't try to find an exact replacement! You've got high-end gear in your rig, it's important to protect it adequately.

Yeah I'm going to look into the psu and see if that is the problem

Even if it's not, you still should be in the market for a safe one! You've got $850 just in your motherboard and CPU.
