Question Computer turned off when I pushed in a loosen power plug

Hello

I got a new surge protector today. I plugged everything and turned it on without issues. I noticed the plug was only half way in and pushed it in all the way and the computer turned off and did not turn on until I unplugged everything, the power surge protector from the wall and everything.

Can anyone tell me why this happened. Is there damage to my computer? I checked a CHKDSK and everything seems to be ok

Nice power strip.

Probably just discontinued power brief enough for the PC to shut off. Probably everything is fine.
