My computer is turning itself off randomly. It then automatically turns back on, and runs for a random period of time (anywhere from 1 second to a few minutes) and shuts off before booting up again. This seems to go on for around 15 minutes before it boots up and works fine again. This has happened about three times now. Can anyone offer advice?

PSU not CPU. The power supply. However since this is an OEM system you may void your warranty by messing with the insides of it. Actually how old is this system. If it is brand new then get a hold of dell/ alienware. You can however try using a cpu stability test like AIDIA 64 or OCCT or LinX or prime95 to test your cpu. I can't really tell you much unless I know the actual specs of the computer. It could be pre overclocked from the factory. It could have a loose ram stick, or other component. Lots of things could be happening.
