computer turning off

windows 7 ultimate
16gb ddr3

My computer will turn off at randomly times.it will sometimes turn off When I play games like league of legends, or when I play lower end games like runescape or roblox. Its defiantly not a heat problem because when I put my hand inside its nowhere close to hot. when it does shut down my mouse will still be on and the power button LED is on aswell. The only way to turn it back on is to unplug the powercord, even then the LED power button would still be on after i pull the cord out but only for a few seconds. this problem has been going on for a while. some days it would turn off some days it won't. on those days I mostly play the same amount of hours. I would love it if someone could help me with this problem. thankyou.

Nothing is being overclocked. My motherboard is a
GA-78LMT-USB3

My powetsupply is a thermaltake TR2 600w ATX 12v 2.3

From your description, "The only way to turn it back on is to unplug the powercord", I suspect you have a failing power supply. Do you have access to another PSU that you can swap for troubleshooting purposes?

Not a fan of thermaltake power supplies. I'd start there I think as those FX chips could be power hungry.

Just be aware, if you get a 1070 with that processor, you are likely going to bottleneck that card pretty badly and have a lot of stuttering and choppy gameplay.

Just be aware, if you get a 1070 with that processor, you are likely going to bottleneck that card pretty badly and have a lot of stuttering and choppy gameplay.

This is true. A better alternative (and less expensive) would be a GTX 1060 or even a GTX 1050ti. On the AMD side, a Radeon RX560 would perform much better than what you have now.
