So hey guys. New build. Testing it out. Using Ryzen 3 2200g and Rx570 with 600w PSU and 8gb single stick Ballistic sports RAM.

Haven't OCed, but I set the RAM frequency to 2666 in Bios though.

When I open PES 2019, it's laggy and then turns off (no signal)

The PC also just turns off during Kombustor Stress Test for a few minutes.

CPU cooling would be just the packaged wraith fan

GPU cooling would be also the dual fans that came with it. It's an Rx570 Sapphire OC edition.

Temps with Ryzen master say 65 for the CPU

Temps with Kombustor goes up to 75 max.

EDIT: EVERYTHING IS STILL RUNNING AFTER DISPLAY OFF. THE TEMPERED GLASS ON MY CASE IS HOT, EVEN THE AIR THAT GOES OUT IS HOT.

After 1:45 minutes of Kombustor things just die out.

Is this a faulty PSU or GPU?

Please help, any help is appreciated, thank you.

Here's the pic of everything still on even though the display is black screen

REX III v2.3

Never heard of that brand name before. Looks like some generic low-end PSU to me. I won't advice you to use this particular PSU model on your gaming PC. Is this the brand, Powerex REX 3 ?? Please use some other power supply unit to test your PC, IF possible. Don't take any risk.

Yes that is the one. Can you recommend me other PSUs?

What's your BUDGET for the PSU, and your currency ? You are from KOREA I presume ?
No actually I'm from the Philippines. Around 50$ max? It doesn't need to be fancy or anything just does it's job 😅

EDIT: I tested it again.
My first run, without changing the fan speed, was around 75 degrees max on my GPU, 1:30 secs in and boom black screen.
Second run, 80% fan speed, 70-71 degrees max until I reached 2 minutes, pressed escape, and fucking black screen happened but this time it restarted itself.

I don't really believe this is a GPU problem since those temps are still pretty okay for a GPU, don't you think?

OKAY...But, I'm not sure which model to recommend within that 50$ budget, it's very tight. Try looking here. There are quite a few decent PSU models from Seasonic, Corsair, EGA, listed on this website, but some of them are a bit expensive. These are at least far better than your current PSU though.

Also, please check these PSU models as well. Can you get one of these similar models from a store near your location ? This is just for reference, but they are quality PSUs. But sadly, these might be expensive....I'm STILL searching that com.ph Website for more budget models......Meanwhile, just have a peek:

Would a Deepcool brand be enough?

No, I can't really comment on this particular Model from Deepcool though. They do have some budget TIER B units like that "Deepcool - DQ-ST" series, but your model seems to be different. This is not a very well known and common brand when it comes to power supplies, IMO.

Don't SKIMP or cheap out on the PSU. This is the most important component of any gaming rig/PC.

Is there any chance that Wattman is causing the freezing and crashing? I think I'm having the same symptoms as the other people on the internet..

Unlikely, power offs under high load are very often due to a crap PSU.

PSU is not something that you want to be cheap on.
I tried uninstalling the driver and playing PES... After around 3 minutes I got bored. I pressed alt tab in order to close the game through the taskbar and boom black screen + no signal while PC is still running. Had to use the front panel to turn it off. Any thoughts on this?

yeah get a decent PSU.
Yes this can be a sign of faulty drivers, faulty BIOS or not enough power draw from the PSU, correct?
0 artifacts, 75° max at max load so I don't suspect anything from the GPU other than the drivers
Is there any chance this may be a CPU, RAM, or Mobo problem though?
I did the RAM windows test, 0 errors.
I don't know if this can be a Mobo or CPU thing but CPU Temps are normal and the RAM, CPU and Mobo is only a week old

No, bad drivers dont cause a shutdown, driver issues would cause a crash or blue screen.

Very unlikely to be anything else other than faulty PSU or faulty graphics card. But more likely the psu, especially because you have a crap psu.
It does crash... Black screen no signal though...
But anyways, what do you guys think of these ones? How many watts do I really need for a good PSU?

All 3 of those PSU's are poor to horrible quality. The size of the PSU(watts) is not what makes it a good psu, build quality is what makes it a good PSU. A decent 550w PSU would be plenty and offer room for future upgrades.

Here's a really good 550w Seasonic

If you need something a bit cheaper the Seasonic S12II units are a bit older but still decent budget options.

Again, all these 3 PUSs are of very poor quality. The last two models are also from some unknown brand as well, except for Thermaltake, but that specific TR2 model falls under the lowest TIER in the power supply list. I've seen many cases where this TR2 model fails to function properly under load, and it has also fried other components. AVOID using the TR2 unit, as well as others. These might also damage your other PC components in the long run.

These are NOT quality units to be used with any GAMING PC.

Hmmm would 500w be really enough for an rx570 and my ryzen build?

I just need a good PSU that won't destroy my system and be good value.

That's the problem actually. You want a good quality PSU, and at the same time you expect it to be cheap as well. That's not always possible. QUALITY units do cost more for some good reason. But sadly, withing your budget, it's getting hard to recommend a reputable PSU model.

Why don't you go for that SEASONIC Focus GOLD PSU/550W, which @bignastyid has recommended. That's a good power supply. It will work on your PC. Don't always see the WATTAGE number alone on any power supply unit. That means nothing. QUALITY is all that maters.

The main concern is the "quality" of the power, the quality of the components used/CAPS, as well as the total AMP drawn on the +12V RAIL (output), the efficiency under load, "ripple suppression", among other factors. The total wattage number of any PSU is not always really the most important deciding factor, primary concern is the 'quality' of power it produces, and the total capacity of the 12V source etc.

The OEM also matters a lot, instead of the actual PSU brand. I've seen PSUs labelled as 1K watts, but in actual real world scenarios, they can hardly pull 400 Watts from the wall, even under full load.
