My computer randomly turns off. I know it’s not overheating, and I have replaced the power supply. What could be the issues? It is an HP Pavilion Elite 410y. Please help. This is getting annoying.

Faulty wall outlet? Loose/defective power cable?

I would not be so certain about "not overheating". The CPU itself can get very hot, very quickly even before you can sense the heat.

What temperatures are you seeing?

Any signs of thermal paste oozing about the CPU?

All fans running. Interior clean of dust, debris, dried bugs? No stray cables or connectors dangling about?

Double check the power supply connections. They can feel as if they are in and tight but sometimes with new plugs that may not be the case.

It is not overheating, I have the side panel off and I have a program on my computer that tells the temps. I do not think the wall outlet is faulty because it happens at multiple houses. No signs of thermal paste oozing. Minor dust. Any other things?

I have 4 other RAM Sticks I can try. Should I do that?
