Computer turns off, then turns on (making beeping noises) then turns off to turn back on again.

Hello, my computer is a pre-build computer with Intel Core i5 CPU, 4 GB of ram and is a 64 bit operating system. Every hour or so, the computer turns off, then turns back on only to make a couple of beeping noises (They were too fast for me to count them) and then turn back off only to turn back on as if the computer was to turn on if I pressed the power button, I could try to count the beeps if you would like me to.

Please count the beeps. It should be a sequence of short and/or long beeps. In addition, we need the make/model of the pc or motherboard. Are you doing anything special, like heavy gaming, when it happens?

sounds like it might be overheating (the PSU or CPU or MB... or all of the above).

but yes... please count the beeps ~ AND tell us what mb you're using. as that will let us know what the beeps mean.

I am doing heavy gaming yes, and the motherboard is a Gigabyte H55M-D2H.

Sorry for reviving this but the same issue is occurring except the crashes are now random (I don't even have to do any gaming) and the sets of beeps are increasing.

Well, you're not telling us anything to help you...

but my first guess still sounds like the most likely issue, lets test it...

pop the side of your case off
stick a room fan in the opening

let us know if the problem goes away. if it does you have a temp problem.
