Computer turns on every ~25 hours

So my computer I built late last summer turns on automatically when off consecutively for ~25 hours.

I honestly don't know where to put this thread, so if a moderator thinks this should be moved go ahead.

I've looked at pretty much everything to find what's turning my computer on, I've researched software in windows 8.1 and turned their update times to off (or on log in or run manually).
Also I've made sure wake on LAN is off, and checked my bios settings to the best of my knowledge.

I've spent hours looking at event viewer and task viewer.
I'm at my wits ending trying to find out what's turning my computer on.

My computer build is

OS: Windows 8.1 pro
CPU: i5-4690k
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming-5
SSD: Crucial 120Gb (Boot Drive)
HDD: Seagate 1Tb HD
RAM: 16Gb Crucial Ballistics
PSU: 750w Rosewill power supply
GPU: GTX 970 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)
Cooler: H100i (and it's software)

My last thought is to unplug both my hard drives and see if it comes on, and I'm guessing that'd point to the motherboard.
If it is the motherboard is it a setting I need to change or would I need to RMA?

And if it's not the motherboard, is there anything not obvious in Windows 8.1, that turns the computer on every ~25 hours?

Are you using Sleep or Shutdown to turn off your computer?

I used to have this problem... turns out it was the Network card that kept waking up my computer. I went to device manager found the card (or mouse if that's the problem) and selected the option to NOT have that device wake the computer.

Thanks for the reply

I shut the computer down.
Also I've gone to that setting and changed it no use. . . and I've even went so far to unplug my ethernet cable and it still turns on.

Also MSI BIO settings for wake on LAN for my motherboard aren't simple or direct....

Are you sure about that? You went to device manager and set the Network card to NOT wake up your computer? After that did you restart your computer so the setting would take effect? You are using Sleep Mode or Shutdown? I'm thinking you have something else installed that wakes up your computer.

I've had this problem for about 4 months, and that was one of the first things I did.
Why would it still turn on if it's not even connected to the internet?
Wouldn't that mean it's nothing to do with wake on LAN

I click shutdown, not sleep.

Just to be more clear, it turns on when it is completely off (not in sleep, hibernate, etc).

If it is something that I have installed, is there a way to set a task or event to trigger and record the program that caused the computer to turn on?
