Question Computer turns on for a few secons with new and alod ram butstays on with no ram

So I bought a new power supply and a new motherboard thinking that it will change anything. I havent upgrade ram, but my friend has new ram. Like the tile says the computer turns off after a few seconds with old/new ram, but stays on without ram. Any help.
