Computer turns on monitor turns on monitor stays black

I put thermal paste on the CPU put it on like it should of been the PC turned on monitor turned on but no image from the monitor, Everything is plugged in.

maybe you have connected your monitor to your motherboard instead of your gpu?

I have a AMD fx 8120 I took the fan off took the chip out of the CPU put on thermal paste like I should have and turned it on no image I never touched anything else. Also my PC is not memorizing my keyboard and mouse.

did you replug the cpu fan back to the motherboard?

quite odd, hardlocked it with that little "arm"?,havent bent any pins?

yea that arm thing I moved it to the right and it snapped into place and the pins I have no idea their so small hard to tell...

try to unplug ur pc's power cable, and turn off the power supply( with the switch on it), wait one minute, and try turning it on.

yep, also you can try removing and placing back the motherboard battery, which will reset bios settings.

also 3am so going to sleep, sorry i wasnt able to help, some more extensive testing might be needed, you can also try taking it out and putting it back again....
