First, i am aware that there is a lot of threads with this very question already, but none of them have a fix that worked. One day i tried to boot my computer and the fans started spinning and all the lights came on, but there was no display.

I have taken out the CMOS, tested three different monitors another graphics card and another PSU as well, same result every time.

CPU: I7 6700
MOBO: asus 170 pro gaming/aura
PSU: corsair cs750m
GPU: 1080 strix
RAM: corsair vengeance LED 32GB
storage: kingston ssd 256gb and seagate hdd 1tb

EDIT:
I have now also tested another cpu and RAM, without any resoults
I think that the only component that i have not swapped is themobo, but it feels unlikely that this is the issue.
Am i wrong?

Hello... 1) your CPU has a "video card" graphic display device inside it... after a CMOS clear your BIOS settings will default to that device... remove your Video card and plug your monitor into your MB connector for another test.

https://ark.intel.com/products/88196/Intel-Core-i7-6700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz

2) You will need to "enable" PCIe graphics in the MB BIOS "peripherals" (save&exit) and plug in the Video card and Power connectors... connect the Video card to the Monitor for your next test.

Your MB BIOS is the "master control" for hardware enabled/disabled and any special settings for it.

Thank you for a fast reply! Sadly however, i get no response using your method, thus, i cannot get into the BIOS as i get no display

excactly the same thing again?

i am not using any adaptors and the cables i have used are: hdmi dvi and display port
