Still unable to connect to my modem via ethernet.
Since my last post, I've updated to the latest firmware on my modem with no success.
I've also connected my computer to another modem(cable so cant use it) over EoP with no problems.
So I've basically narrowed it down to one of 2 possbilities.
1. Somethings wrong with the ethernet ports or the modem.
2. There's some sort of software incompatibility issue.
Does anyone know of any isolation tests i can try? I'm going to try and see if it will connect to my foxtel, and any other non-computer device with an ethernet cable. I'll update this after i'm done.

I'm unable to get a connection with my modem and when i do it usually drops shortly after.
I'm using a netcomm np205 to connect them atm, but i have tried connecting my computer directly into the modem and the connection still wasnt stable although more reliable. I'm under the impression or atleast hoping that once i get a smooth connection with the modem the EoP should stabilize.
I've tried everything i could find on the web and nothing has worked.
Tried changing cables.
Tried using another computer with similar results, aswell as this computer awhile ago but i just assumed it was because it was old and the network card may not be up to scratch.
Tried resetting the modem and computer in various orders.
Tried using a static IP(IPv4)
Tried restoring modem back to factory settings.
Anyone have any ideas? The computers brand new, got it yesterday and i am able to get a strong connection but it doesnt last long so I'm thinking its not probably not a hardware issue, although it could be a problem with the modem itself.
Modem: Netgear n600
Motherboard: Asrock z87 extreme6.
Thanks for any replies and help.
