Alright, this is going to be long, so bear with me here. Roughly 3 days ago, my computer (A desktop PC with WIRED connection) became unplugged while running a ridiculous amount of times; I’m talking 6 or 7. Nothing really noticeable happened to it, except one thing, and I’m not even sure if it’s related. My internet connection drops out every 30 minutes, or every hour, it’ll even go to every 2 or 3 minutes. I've tried everything I can possibly think of, I've unplugged and re-plugged in the power cable, as well as the Ethernet cable on the modem, I've restarted my PC, the whole 9 yards. This would bring it back for another 30 mins or so, but of course it would drop out again shortly after. I called my cable company (Cox), and according to them, my computer says it online, and the modem also says I’m online. I even went as far as buying a new modem thinking it would work, since my other one was incredibly old (2.0 modem). That of course didn't work. So now I’m convinced something is wrong with my PC. I read online that unplugging the computer can result in hardware damage, would that have anything to do with it? (I’m not an expert on hardware, I know my way around it, but I mostly deal with programming.) My main question is would the computer becoming unplugged have led to some sort of hardware damage, thus, leading to network issues? If so, how would I go about solving this issue? It would mean so much if someone gave me some answers; I've really been stressed over this for the past 4 days, thanks.
