Recently I've been playing LoL and Marvel Heroes. Well whenever i play league of legends I get a computer stopping crash that makes me reboot the whole thing... It happens after any amount of time... I just crashed after reaching lvl 10 and dieing. Rebooted and got back in the game and crashed immediately. I also am haveing a problem with marvel heroes. Every so often i have a minor Freeze/crash where everything stops in game and a few seconds later my screen goes black and Comes back to life. NBow i dont know what is wrong but i recently overclocked my gpu and was having some trouble at first but eventually go it stable. And i figured that would be the cause of the reboot crash but i turned it off and it still crashed. So i reinstalled LoL and still does it... IDK what it is please Help!!!

Solution

Both these games have problems which are mentioned on their own support forums.

LoL started to crash for MANY people since their last patch
Marvel Heroes is crashing for 90% of people (all over the net)

Try this for Marvel which has worked for some....

The default resolution may be to high. You can edit it in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marvel Heroes\UnrealEngine3\MarvelGame\Config\DefaultEngine.ini"

Goto
[SystemSettings]
ResX=1920
ResY=1080

And change it to something lower (1280x720).
It defo nail it down to corrupt graphic drivers with the unstable overclock he had as I had the exact same issue. If that doesn't cure it then reset cmos if u have an over clock to eliminate that.

blakmumba: No, My processor is an I3-3220. Not overclockable. and
PyjamaCat: No, again. Not seeing artifacts because i had originally tested it and finnaly got it stable. And it still crashes with OCing off.
And specs are:
CPU/\
GPU: AMD 7850 XFX core
Ram: 8gb
PSU 450w

PyjamasCat: I believe I am fine with the PSU. this build was recommended by the nice people here at Tomshardware and I even asked multiple times about it not being enough. Was told multiple times it would be fine. Its 80% efficiency also...
And I will run a one match battle on BF3 and I won't have any problems with that...

blakmumba: yes, I had originally had the beta drivers installed 13.6 and it was doing it so i decided i would revert to 13.4 stable drivers and thinking the drivers were the problem and to no avail it was still messed up.

If u'v reset cmos and completely removed all previous ati drivers before installing new 1's, my next step would be to format the hard disk and take it from there. These are exactly the same steps I did to finally get mine to work after overclocking my gpu caused the drivers AND window files to get corrupted which led to the exact same problems as yr describing.

If the problem persists, try a different gpu as maybe the overclocking of the gpu could have damaged the card.
