I was wondering what I could do in order to upgrade my computer
Computer specs windows 10 16gb Ram 8 core am3+ processor 8320 64 bit obviously 4.0 ghz 3 hard drives 2x 1tb and 1x 250 gb ssd power supply 900 watt graphics card xfx 290x.

You're pretty close to the top of the food chain for the AM3+ platform now. You could upgrade the CPU to a FX-8370 for a minimal gain in performance. Not really recommended cost-wise.
The gfx card is about tops for the CPU to keep up with w/o bottleneck, so there's no sense wasting money on that. Maybe a larger SSD?

It looks like you are a candidate for a new build entirely if performance isn't where you'd like it to be now.
