I am about to upgrade my computer from a Core 2 Duo and I have some questions about it. I have about 500€ to spend and i have different ideas.
The first idea was to buy any h81 motherboard and an i5 4460 with 8Gb ddr3 ram, on the other hand we have a b150 bazooka with an i5 6400/6500 with 8Gb ddr4 ram. I suppose it's better the skylake build but i'm not sure about that.
I also have doubts about the storage, by the same price i can buy either a 120Gb SSD or a 1Tb HDD. I also have a 120Gb HDD from the old computer, it's better buy the SSD and wait a few weeks to gain some money and buy the HDD or the other way round?
And last but not least With this build I want to combine it with a GTX 950 (beacause i have read that the 960 isn't worth at all and 970 is too much expensive), there's and AMD better option? With this build what power supply should I buy? How many watts should it have to be sure I wont have problems?

Thank you

If you're going for the CPU+Mobo+Ram combo, it's best you go with Skylake platform. When you speak of storage it's best to balance your expenses by including a small SSD and a mid or high capacity HDD thus a 120GB as a bare minimum for SSD while 500GB bare minimum for HDD. PSU wise you should shoot for a 500~600W unit depending on how much more components you want to add though please follow our resident PSU tier list using some added salt(info).

Hope this helps
