Question Computer Upgrade

Hello,

My current pc specs are Amd FX8320 Black edition, Asus m5a99x evo motherboard and gtx 770.
I went off pc gaming for a while but recently got back into it. What would you guys recommend as an upgrade path?
I'm not planning on doing any 4k gaming probably 1080p @ 144Hz at the most. Would like to be able to play games like kingdom come or ac: odyssey on highest specs.

Any recommendations? I'm fine with Intel or AMD.

What's the budget? And if this is a new build, what are the rest of the specs? If you have a high-quality power supply and decent storage, those are likely things you can take to your new build.

Probably £500 but can be more. I plan to do this over a few months. I got a Cit 750w psu and a number of Ssd hdds so they will be used in the new build.

The SSDs are fine, but the PSU is in the junk tier; CiT is one of the more notorious sellers of low-grade, dangerous garbage out there. You're quite fortunate if it hasn't fried the stuff you already have.

Haha according to my amazon history i bought it in 2012 so definitely got use out of it.
