So, I'm in the process of doing some fairly major upgrades to my system. I'm looking at getting a new processor, motherboard, psu, and case.
Processor: E6750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115029
Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817139001
Motherboard: MSI P6N SLI Platinum http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130081 OR
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059
Case: COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137
OR Antec Nine Hundred 9-Bay Midtower http://www.provantage.com/antec-nine-hundred~7ANTG049.htm
So, I'm trying to do this as economically as possible. My video card is a 8800 GTS. I realize by going with the cheaper motherboard, I'd lose SLI capabilities, which I'm not planning on using but am a little wary to give up because who knows what the future will hold. Would I lose anything else by going with that motherboard and the P35 chipset? Also, is there any reason not to go with the Cool Master cheaper case? I'm struggling with trying to keep this as affordable as possible and worrying about, "You get what you pay for".
Any help or advice? Thanks!
