Hey guys so this is my first time putting up a thread on this sight but i need some help. So earlier on today i remembered my cpu and gpu were full of dust and so was the rest of my case, i went to the shops and bought a can of 3 in 1 multi purpose air duster *safe to use on electronics* and basically i have an AMD 4130 processor and i unscrewed and unclipped the heatsink from the cpu and i dusted the heatsink and around the cpu without hardly touching it and it still had alot of thermal paste on it but some scraped off by accident and the heatsink was sitting in an awkward position and i wasnt watching it but i screwed it all back on and clipped it back on the cpu after dusting it and i plugged everything back in and turned it on and it took a good 2 minutes for the screen to load up and i thought that was odd and my computer started to rev up lots and so i force turned it off and im stuck here on my macbook pro thinking that some of the thermal paste scraped off when i wasnt paying attention and my computer just wasnt responsive and it was very very very laggy and i couldnt even open any apps. Any help or thoughts appreciated! :)

Solution
There's propably just bad connection with the heatsink and the cpu which is causing the cpu to throttle down to keep it from melting. You need to remove the heatsink, completely clean it off the old thermal paste and then apply new thermal paste and install it back. Hopefully there is nothing else wrong.

Thanks so much Samat, we have these rubbing alcohol little cloth tabs, will they work to remove the old paste?

I'd guess they should do the trick.
