Computer Video Card

I have a dell dimension 4700 when I turned it on the monitor would not come out of sleep mode. I disconnected the monitor from the computer and it appeared to come on doing the testing and it was working. I then connected the computer to my hd television and it would not show up on it in the pc mode. I assume it is the video card in the computer. Is that correct

Yep looks like the graphics failed.
