I was watching netflix when my computer screen went white and my headphones were making a sort of low pitched buzzing sound. I just restarted my computer and everything was fine. I have only had my pc for about 4 months now and it has worked fine until now.

My computer parts list:
CPU- AMD fx8350
CPU cooler- cooler master hyper 212 evo
Motherboard- ASRock 970 Extreme4
RAM- G.Skill Ripjaws X (2x4GB) ddr3-1866
Storage-Kingston SSDnow v300 120GB
Storage-Segate 2TB 3.5" 7200rpm Hybrid drive
GPU- evga 980ti ftw
PSU- Corsair RM 750W
Monitor- Benq Rl2455HM
OS- Windows 10

-About 3.5 hours after posting this it happened again except it had a green screen, the image displayed before this happened also happened to have a lot of green foilage (trees, grass, bushes), and most of the screen was green, also when it white screened most of the image was white.

So i figured out what was wrong, i havent posted in a while cause i wanted to make sure it worked. In my Nvidia control panel i had my color format set to YCbCr422 cause it offered 12bpc, but when i went back to RGB this problem no longer occured.

I have a friend who i can probably borrow a card from, might be a hard test though since it doesn't happen until i have used the computer for a couple hours, yesterday it didn't even happen at all, i can rule out motherboard cause it just happened again and my motherboard was not displaying an error code, it would also probably be a faster test if he uses my card at the same time to test my card in his system.

The only problem i can think of right now would be the pcie slot on my motherboard is breaking, i only know this problem happens though with heavy cards-mine does have a backplate-i don't know what any signs would be. I also took out the card to check the pci connection on the gpu and that is good, as well as made sure all my cables are plugged in all the way. It could have been the pcie connection was loose but i will c about that now that i replaced it in my computer. One thing to note is that the problems didn't arise until after i changed around my fan config, it is cooled just fine so its not overheating and i didn't bump my gpu or any other parts.

Just updating, before my computer crashed again i was getting multiple messages that my NVIDIA GeForce driver stopped working and started again right away so i think it might be the driver, the driver version is 364.51.

This is the driver version i already have. Also updating, my pc white screened again and i noticed that it only happens while watching netflix, but that might just be the timing of when i watch it. So im going to not watch netflix on my pc for a while but keep my pc running while i would normally be watching netflix, don't know why netflix would be the problem but i'll have to see if it is. Also When i was watching netflix earlier this week something weird happened, the screen started stretching itself downward, then i exited full screen and it stopped. My thoughts are that this is probably software related since the only hardware problem i could think of would be my gpu, but i just got that a couple months ago and it my pc worked fine for the first few months. I don't think it is the gpu though since all of my games work fine and i havent noticed any performance issues.
