So, Ive been having some issues with my card. I have 2 R9 295x2 in my computer and it will run great for a while, then when under heavy GPU load for a while the computer will crash and will continue to crash everytime I put a heavy load on the card. I found that if i turn the computer off, unplug the card from the Motherboard and plug it back in, it will work fine again for a while. Nothing else can get it to work again. I have 2 cards and its the secondary card that seems to be having the issues.

Is this a motherboard problem or a the GPU?

Ive tried re-installing windows 10, reinstalling the drivers, I have 2 1000w for a total of 2000w on quality PSU, so I cant see that being the problem.

THanks for your help.

each video card pulls 500w, so with the CPU and additional power draw even a 1200w PSU wouldnt cut it. Also this wouldnt make sense that removing the card from the MOBO and re connecting it would fix the problem.

OK...now please explain how, if the system is actually off, disconnecting and reconnecting 1 or both GPU's could possibly make any difference.

Secondly, you are not pulling 2000 watts out of a single wall socket. Not in the US, anyway.

I wonder the same thing, but it does fix the problem. so either it is getting so hot that it expands and the connection in the PCI-E slot get moved, bad contact? or pulling it from the MOBO resets the internal CMOS(complete guess as well).

I calculate my system pulls 1250w at max load which is probably about 13 or 14amps at the wall (socket has a 15amp breaker)

Im completely confused as to what is going on. Im still in the RMA perior for the GPU and MOBO so if i need to exchange something I need to do it soon before its too late.
