Hello all, I recently moved in with a roomate and his wifi has 2 channels, 2 and 5, my computer will discover the 2ghz network, but not the 5. I was using a net gear wireless adapter USB stick, but I got a Rosewill -N300X (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?) Item=N82E16833166051 ) from a friend to remedy the solution, to no avail. The device manager list the 5ghz as being enabled, but the computer still will not locate it. The router is not blocking anyone, as my phone can discover the 5ghz network and connect fine. I've used the command prompt as well (netsh wlan show drivers ) and it says 802.11n 802.11g 802.11b . This wouldn't be as much as a problem of the internet on the 2ghz did not get all choppy and slow to a crawl at frequent points after 9. I also installed the latest driver for the card here https://www.rosewill.com/download/rnx-n300x-win-2k-xp-vista-7-32-64-v3-2-12-zip/ . But none of these have remedied the issue.

I have this desktop: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883272020 with win 10

any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!
