So, my PC refuses to start. No boot menu, no signal to monitor, no nothing. All fans start spinning when I turn it on, but I hear no "reading of disks". (I'm not sure though if I normally hear anything from the disks during boot.)

This is what I've tried so far.

  1. Tested monitor on other computer. It works.
  2. Tested to connect monitor both via hdmi and vga port. Same result: no signal.
  3. Checked if computer connects to the wifi router. It doesn't.
  4. Tried removing the CMOS battery and letting the computer "rest" for half and hour. After that restarting, but no effect.
  5. Tried restarting without the CMOS battery. No effect.

Could you recommend the next step here?

I had the same issue with my New Build this weekend - I even bought a replacement PSU (having tested my old one first) thinking that was the issue. I then noticed that the 'Power SW' connection on my motherboard had become disconnected. I reconnected those and my PC powered up with no further issues. That might be something to consider?

No, it's not a similar issue. Please start another thread.

Next steps would be:

Check the power supply. Test with a known good power supply.
Check the motherboard outputs. Test with a low end graphics card.
Check the CPU. Install a known working and compatible processor.

If all three of these tests fail, then it is likely your motherboard that has failed and you need to consider replacing it or building a new system.

After pushing down all the sockets inside the computer the system started up all of a sudden. But it only lasted a week then this happed

Given that the system booted and worked for a little while what is your best guess of what part is the problem?
