When I turn on my computer I get nothing. No fans no post. I uninstalled everything down to cpu and motherboard and still nothing. My power led indicator on the motherboard is lit telling me power is at least going to the board. After uninstalling the cpu the fans kicked on. I installed my hard drives and could hear them after turning on the power. I've also reinstalled my gpu and its fans will kick on. After checking my pins and reinstalling my cpu I again get nothing. Is there still a chance this could be my board or psu? Or is it safe to assume my cpu is dead?

Presumably this is a new computer build?

Is the 8-pin CPU auxiliary power cable connected (properly) to the motherboard? And while you're at it, check that ALL cables are connected properly.

If issues persist, try the CPU in another compatible computer, and/or try another compatible CPU. Borrow CPU/computer from friend, neighbour, or whoever if necessary.
