[SOLVED] Computer will not wake up from sleep

Here is my situation:

I put my PC to sleep. When I press the power button to wake it up from sleep, the fans and stuff start up but they turn off after 1-2 seconds and the PC seems to crash. It then starts up again with fans running and everything, but provides no output to the monitors. It is completely unresponsive. After this happens, I can simply restart the computer and it boots right back into windows no problem.

I have checked my power/sleep settings and also reinstalled windows, so I don't think this is a software issue. Anyone know what might be causing this? Btw I am overclocked, but I tried this on stock clocks and the same thing happened.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8GHz (using stock cooler)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V @3200MHz
Motherboard: MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon
GPU: EVGA GTX 980 Ti Hybrid
SSD: Samsung 960 Evo M.2 250GB
HDD: Seagate 2TB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro (Black)

latest bios?

a lot of sleep problems caused by old drivers even on new installs, it could be installing something auto that is out of date, win 10 not perfect..

download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html
All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any - this is intentional as 3rd party driver updating software often makes it worse.
When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Now its up to you, you can look through the drivers and try to find old drivers, or you can take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

All I...

All I would do is look at driver versions (or dates if you lucky to have any) to see what might have newer versions.

I just downloaded and tried driverview but almost everything is listed as N/A for the date last modified. I think updating the BIOS is the best option because I haven't ever done that and I've been missing 3.5 years of BIOS updates. Thanks for providing such a detailed response.

n/a is so normal it hurts. If you want, upload the screenshot, or I believe you can make a html report of drivers. Show me what you have and I see

take note of any advisories in previous bios, don't just jump to top one without looking
One says - MSI strongly recommend to update AMD chipset driver 18.10xxxxxxx or latest version before update BIOS.
