I bought two Intel 730s (one 480, one 240gb) this week and upon putting both in my computer I got nothing. My PC would light up, but pressing the power button would result in nothing. After taking the second one (240gb) out everything worked just fine. Any ideas to the problem here?

Setup:
I7 4790 @ 4ghz
16gb RAM
850w PSU
GTX 760
RoG Maximus VII Hero mobo

Thanks in advance. Just sitting here in my room with my PC lying open while I install all my shit on the main ssd for now.

Just to get a clearer understanding of your setup...

1. Can we assume your "main" drive (as you call it) is your 480 GB SSD? This is the drive that has the OS installed on it, yes?

2. Does the 240 GB SSD also contain an OS?

3. Have you connected the 480 GB SSD to the motherboard's SATA6G_1 connector and the 240 GB SSD to the SATA6G_2 connector? That would be the preferred configuration.

4. And the BIOS/UEFI reflects a first-boot to the 480 GB drive?

5. When you boot with both drives connected have you checked Disk Management to determine the secondary 240 GB drive is listed there? And contains a drive letter? If it is listed and no drive letter has been assigned, then assign one.

Thanks for the Bios response, will check that when I'm off work.

As for ArtP;
1) Yes, I just put the OS on it a few minutes ago, was doing clean install.

2) No, that is also brand new with no data on it.

3) I'm unsure. I didn't realize there was a labelled order but will check when I'm home.

4) > answer 3

5) Haven't gotten that far. The computer as of right now simply does not turn on with two at the same time.

OKAY lol got it detected. How do I initalize it? I have it in my disk management under Disk() so if I can get it moved to usable space then I'd be golden

Edit:

All setup and done. Final question though, where do I access this new volume? I can't find it.

Starting to realize I fucked up somewhere. The disk is formatted, labelled, new volume has been allocated, but I can't access it anywhere on my computer. I found a shortcut in my recent tab apparently leading to the drive? but it says the drive is unavailable.
