Computer will only post iff Graphics Card is not plugged in.

Let me start off by saying that I have RMA'd the graphics card and am having the same issue with the replacement. I also replaced my off-brand 550W PSU with a 430W Corsair.

When I start up my computer without the graphics card plugged into the motherboard, I start up 100% fine. Once I plug the graphics card in, the heat sink and graphics card fans will spin for a couple seconds, then stop. The computer will not post.

At this point I am feeling like there must be some sort of short on my motherboard with the PCI express slot? Not really sure and wondering if you guys have any ideas.... Help is 100% appreciated...

Check that the h61 motherboard bios is up todate to rule out a bios bug.
On the mb check that the four or eight pin pci power plug on the mb is plugged in. In the bios turn on muilt monitor support and see if the gpu is seen in windows. If it works set the bios to boot from gpu as first output. Check that the mb is not shorting out to the mb tray when the video card is plugged in.
Check to see if the mb parts are hitting the gpu. Check the mb shield is not shorting out your pc.

Thank you. Updating Bios did the trick and my computer was able to start up and utilize my card. Saved me the $250 I was gonna spend on a new mobo (with new cpu). Thanks!
