Question Computer with RX 6500 XT freezes while watching video, video editing and gaming ?

Guys, please help. I've had enough of it now, I have some important things to do(with Premiere Pro etc.), but I can't get my work done because of this problem. I'll explain right away, friends, I have this problem when watching videos for 30 minutes-40 minutes, editing videos and playing games very rarely. While doing any of these activities, the computer suddenly freezes, things like pixel-by-pixel tingling appear on the screen when the signal goes out on old televisions, sometimes the computer reacts when it freezes, but the image remains pixel-by-pixel. Sometimes I wait for 5-6 seconds, sometimes it doesn't, I press the reset button from the case, it restarts, but when I restart, I have to cut off the power from the PSU because after restarting, when I press the reset button for the second time, the computer does not respond.

When it is turned on again, a notification comes from Radeon like 'Radeon WattMan settings have been reset'. I don't quite understand why it's so rare in games, but I can more or less guess. I think there is a problem with the video processing part, but I'm not sure. Is there a way to find out exactly where the problem is? With FurMark etc. when i test, the temperatures of the video card etc. I couldn't find any problems while testing, this problem did not occur, it works perfectly normal. If we do not count this freezing event, it offers a very nice and fluent performance in games. If you have your own idea, can you write it, etc. is there? By the way sorry for my bad english.

To be clear for what rgd1101 said. Upgrading ram and to an ssd won't resolve your issue. Too early to say.

To clarify the info.
Your using one 8gb stick?

Also could you be more clear on your issue. Perhaps step by step.

1. You launch permerie pro and edit video for 30-40mins screen freezes.
2. The screen freezes pixel by pixel?? Could you include an image, be it from your phone?
3. a. Sometimes it unfreeze after 5-6mins and is fine?
3. b. Sometimes you have to hit power button.
4. Explain the power button part more clearly. You all full terms etc. Assume I don't speak English either 😉

You said you have tested with Futuremark? Or your asking if you should?

First of all, thank you for your interest and concern.

Yes I am using a single 8GB memory.

1. Exactly, for 30-40min watching video (!)without any other activity i encounter this issue. Obviously not only the screen freezes, the computer does not respond to any commands. But I noticed that I encounter this issue more often when using Adobe Premiere Pro. Yes, the screen freezes and after freezing, the fans of the gpu start spinning fast. Video:

(9:36th minute) (This time it gave a black screen, except for the image part, what I said is still valid. Well just there is no pixels.)

2. Just like when the signal goes out on tube televisions. Sample Picture: https://img.imgyukle.com/2023/06/15/rNUoUb.jpeg
Pixels look like the ones in this picture, they can be colorful and square or rectangular.

3. a. Yes, but seconds, not minutes. And this happens very rarely.

3. b. When it freezes I press the reset button. It reboots but no display. At this stage (After Reboot), the power button or reset button is not working. I have to cut power from PSU. Then I turn the PSU's power back on and press the Case's power button. Then it opens normally. Video:

4. - 3. In part 'b' of clause. I think I told you this. But if there are more questions, I can answer.

No, I do stress tested the graphics card, processor, PSU with programs like Furmark, OCCT and there were no problems whatsoever. All normal.

70% of this answer was written with Google translate. Sorry for the mistakes. By the way i understand english very well but i can't speak... :')

Sorry for the delay. Need to setup push notifications.

Well the good thing is you have an easy way to reproduce it the issue. Which will help a lot on the troubleshooting process.

1. Is this a new computer/build?
2. Was there any recent changes? Example, put in a new a GPU or other new part?

I'm leanng toward gpu or Power supply. First actions I would take. (Do these one at a time, ex: change something. Then test)

1. Make sure your graphics driver is up to date. Then test issue.
2. If problem persists. Try another GPU if you have available. Be sure to Unistall previous driver and install driver for test GPU.
If you don't have one, do you have onboard graphics with your CPU? If you do, try using only that. Then see if the issue repeats.

It's okay. Thank you.

1. Yes, I built the computer myself. And it's been about 6 months.
2. No.

1. I switched to the old driver version last week and the problem persisted with them as well. I'm currently on the latest version and the problem still persists.

2. Ok. Thank you. I will test what you said as soon as possible.
