Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

Clarify: are you saying that the GPU continues to run after the computer is physically turned off?

And there should not be any need to remove the motherboard's battery - that battery is what helps the computer "remember" its' configuration settings.

If the power button is not immediately turning on the computer then the power button may have broken.

More information needed.

The Computer when starting up having to keep clicking the power button many times until it comes on but then it works great but last week it started to go funny when clicking shut down on windows 10 all my monitors go blank and my fans and gpu and motherboard are still powered on refusing to switch of. Tried upgrading bios and such but nothing working! I can see the motherboard when trying to press power button red lights keep flashing on and off and looks like it trying to get power. Sounds like its an PSU issue now!

Motherboard lights keep flashing and my psu now keeps making funny popping noises so think my PSU is breaking!

Going to buy the
EVGA SuperNOVA T2 1000 Watt Titanium Modular PSU/Power Supply
