Question Computer won’t turn on after new psu

just got the corsair rm750 to replace my faulty rosewill psu i took the power supply out and plugged all the cables in and when i turned it on it flashed for half a second and the fans spun a little on my z370 ez bug led it flashes the cpu, i tried plugging my old psu back in and it wouldn’t turn on i’ve been trying for hours please help me

Was the old Rosewill a modular PSU?
If so, did you leave the original cables in place, and connect them to the new Corsair?

i removed all the old cables and connected the new corsair cables

i have made sure everything was connected properly as i have been at it for several hours
