Computer won’t turn on after upgrades

I recently changed parts of my computer. I got a new graphics card and put that in with a new PSU. That worked fine but then I decided to get a new CPU as mine weren’t the best. The CPU was too hot so I ordered a new CPU cooler. This is where the problems began. I installed the cooler and it worked fine, really well actually, for about 10-15 minutes. Then my heard two noises that sounded like a mix of pops and thuds and my computer shut off and there was a weird smell and the inside of my computer was very hot. I moved some stuff around and tried turning it back on but it won’t go back on.

Specs:
New CPU - AMD A10-5800k
Old CPU - AMD A4-6300
New graphics card - AMD Radeon 7870
PSU - 750W, 220/230V, 3A, 50Hz

Solution
Can you see any damage on the motherboard?

Usually with 'pops' I would think power supply first, and there might be some burning plastic smell. At the very least it sounds like something needs replacing.

EDIT: just a bit slower at typing....
