A follow up from my last thread as I didn’t include all details. Yes it’s stupid, in a fit of rage i had hit the side of my pc. Yes it was a dumb idea. Now I need to know what I did. Is it possible that I knocked the cpu out of the slot? Or did I do something to the mother board? Cause my pc won’t turn on at all. I have a feeling that I did something to the motherboard, but you can’t always be too sure.

Solution
Is there a battery than? or is it just plugged straight into the wall without the battery? you could try the old simple method of taking the battery out and holding the power for 10-30 seconds to discharge the laptop and then plug it back in. Other than that im kinda stumped too, sorry
1: check to see if all the psu cables are plugged in correctly and the front panel connectors are not loose(assuming you know what im talking about)
resort back to your manual to see if your cables are in properly in the right spot

2: make sure everything is seated properly, like the gpu, ram, etc

3: if your power supply has a switch on it make sure its flipped the right way.

4: kick your computer agian to see if it turns on

5: ignore step 4

6: try removing part by part to see if anything is shorted becuase your motherboard may have fried itself and possibly everything with it. Do you have another computer laying around? you could try putting your gpu in another pc to see if it works and try other parts if they are compatible with that certain computer.

try to put different parts into a different computer if you have one laying around or have a friend with a computer that you could put your gpu and other things in. MAKE SURE that they are compatible before you put them into a different computer.

Other than that i really dont know how else to test if they are shorted, sorry

but keep in mind this is what i think, it may not be shorted and then you are one step ahead. I dont know if its shorted or not but its something you can try to find out
