I picked up an open box 5900x from Microcenter a week ago. Previously I had been running a B450 board and a 2700x for a few yrs without a single issue.
I have now been messing with this for 2 weeks and I cannot get it to boot. I've formatted my drive and trying to reinstall windows from a USB, the system will get to the windows logo for a split second and then will reboot.
Picked up a new Mobo on Prime day thinking that may help, and it does the same thing.
I suspect it has to do with some internal security (TPM/CSM/UEFI) that is causing it to not work.
I put the 2700x back in a few times and that worked. But the 4th time I took the 2700x out I bent a few pins and now it's toast.
Any idea? Now the cpu is hooked up yo a MSI MPG X570s Edge Max WiFi board. Only the 2 M.2 drives are attached. I can get to the BIOS, but it will not go farther than that. Just gets stuck in a boot cycle.
