I just bought this RAM and Installed it combining with the other 2GB RAM i have http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-pc2-5300-ddr3-2-gb-pc-ram-jm1333klu-2g/p/itmd2ryp5fyuyghg?pid=RAMD2RYPY58CUHPG&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&q=transcend+jm1333klu-2g&ref=f1dceb17-8ee9-40df-a20c-7477e943e4f7 but after installing the computer isn't booting up.The Cpu fan starts running and stops and it repeats.
I tried interchanging RAMs and also reseated cmos.
I also tried placing that 4Gb single RAM.But no luck.
The computer boots up when i place the 2GB ram which came with the computer
I got frustrated restarting and replacing the slots again and again.
What might be the problem?
Please help me.
My motherboard:Gigabyte ga-g41mt-s2p rev 1.4

Solution
Any time you mix sticks it can be problematic, or not a good idea to do so...can try raising DRAM voltage + 0.05 and about the same on the MC (memory controller voltage and they might play together)
For your motherboard, the only 4GB DIMM supported (as listed by Gigabyte) is the 4GB Samsung M378B5273BH1-CF8.

Having said that, there is really no reason that the 4GB DIMM you purchased shouldn't work. I would consider returning the 4GB dimm to the retailer as DOA (dead on arrival).

This RAM is already a replaced one.I replaced it because i thought it is dead on arrival.
