Computer won't boot after installing new cooler

I just installed a new cooler, and now my computer won't boot, my CPU is the FX 8300, my MOBO is the ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0, and i am up grading from the stock cooler that came with me CPU to an ARCTIC ALPINE 64 PLUS

Did you plug in the cpu fan into the cpu fan header? Many motherboards will not allow the computer to boot if they don't detect a cpu fan.

Is your new cooler hitting your RAM? If not check all your cables, and RAM to see if you knocked anything loose. It's pretty easy to do. Also I know it sounds simple but if your power supply has a power switch on it did you turn that back on?

nvm i got it to work, im a dummy, when i plugged in the cpu cooler into the 4 pin slit, i plugged it in to where only 3 pins were in the 4 pin CPU plug
